PETERSON of Dublin
Already in 1865 founded the renowned Kapp Brothers store in Dublin that still today is a popular and well-attended tobacconist. The owner then was Friedrich and Heinrich Kapp, who immigrated to Ireland from Nuremberg. Shortly after takeoff walked a Latvian immigrant, Charles Peterson, into their workshop and explained that he could make better pipes than they. Peterson proved to be equipped with imagination and innate sense of punches and was also a skilled craftsman. It soon turned out that his assertion was correct, and he became the third partner in the growing company.
Peterson's famous Dry System pipes were patented in 1894 and is probably the firm's most famous designs. A small container to collect moisture before it reaches the smoker's mouth will cause "barrel system" provides a cool smoke that minimizes the burning sensation on the tongue and the pipsaft, every piprökares horror. It was on this innovative design that Peterson's worldwide reputation came to be founded. During the past century, Kapp and Peterson's continued its strong growth, without losing focus on the quality and craftsman-made products at reasonable prices.
